Its after quite a long pause that this blog of Team BITSAA, Goa Campus sees a new post and hence the need for such a long one. The sem X-2 (X varying from 1 to 5 ) as we Bitsians would call it, was one memorable journey for all of us here in Team BITSAA. Here is a recap of all that happened this sem.
The sem kicked off with the Birthday celebration of Embryo on 20th January and then inductions of new members into the team, me being one of them.
The first initiative this sem by Team BITSAA was the micro- workshop, which was conducted by Mr. Sunil Handa, Entrepreneurship being the focus of the workshop. The workshop was attended by a number of students and definitely made them realise, that maybe choosing the path less travelled by, will make all the difference.
Thanks to the great PRing work done by the team members, we were also able to conduct three Embryo lectures this sem, but it was not just the PR work which made them successful. Right from the booking of LTs, to printing of Notices, to getting Internet connection, everything was perfect. (almost
)
The first talk was on the topic “Confluence of Medicine and Technology” and was delivered by Mr. Rajeev Gupta, the second one was a talk on the topic “Personal Wealth Creation and Risk Management’ and was delivered by Mr. Anand Mohan Agarwal and finally we had a talk by Ms. Samayita Choudhuri on the topic “Opportunities on Life Sciences- Ideas to Implement”. We also tried a new software GoToMeeting for an Embryo lecture, which seemed to be working fine.
So after three successful Embryo lectures this sem, all I can say is that Team Embryo \m/.
And to celebrate the success and for an unofficial sorts of farewell, a contributory dinner was organised at The Pentagon. Although the food was ok, it was the sheer enthu of the team that made the trip special. Special mentions to Saurabh bhaiya’s song and dance sequences and Lavni
, and Vinay’s bhaiya’s songs, but the only person who really sang was Atish bhaiya.
The sem is about to end with the compres just a week and a half away, but we, here at Team BITSAA, still have one more major task at hand,organizing the Director’s Tea Party. I hope that we are able to pull it off well making the day memorable for the seniors.
Signing off,
in fear of compres, and the hope that the Director’s Tea Party ends well, leaving nice memories with the outgoing batch, making them realize once again that their BITSian life doesn’t end with the 4/5 years they’ve spent here at BITS. It just begins.
But before that here is a pic of Team BITSAA at the farewell
